Sometimes, families need financial help to get their kids into a
sport or activity. There are several initiatives in our community
to help kids get involved in activities that they may not be able
to take part in otherwise. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Helping Kids Play
The Community Culture &
Arts Fund offers funding for
children (18 and under) to
join programs like drama,
art, dance, music, heritage,
babysitting courses,
workshops and other
programs and activities.
It supports children in
exploring their talents in
art, culture, heritage and
furthering their education
with babysitting courses
or attending youth-based
workshops or conferences.
KidSport is a children’s
charity that assists children
of families facing financial
obstacles to participate in
community sport programs.
Grants of up to $750 per
year are available for youth
under 18, funded by local
donations and fundraising.
