R.J. Gidluck Park
Ron Gidluck always promoted Warman as 
the place to live, work and raise a family. He 
served on the Town Council for three terms 
and was heavily involved in the Lions Club, 
Chamber of Commerce and the Warman 
Hockey Association, and served on the 
Library Board and the Parks and Recreation 
Board. He bought a bus that he used to drive 
local sports teams around western Canada. 
His loyalty, integrity and pride in the Town of 
Warman became his trademarks.
Walter Davis Park
Walter Davis was deeply invested in the 
community and spent much of his time 
working on the establishment of the Warman 
Golf Course as well as working with many 
organizations in the community. In addition 
to all of this work, Wally led the community 
for many years as Mayor and as a member 
of Council. The community of Warman will 
be forever grateful for all that Wally did to 
champion this community.
Corney Klassen Park
Corney Klassen served as local school janitor 
and bus driver in the 1960s and was on Town 
Council from 1967 to 1976. Corney was an 
active member of the Warman Curling Club, 
and when a group of men came up with the 
idea of a golf course in the early 1980s, he 
was right in there, helping with all aspects of 
getting it operational and keeping it running. 
Corney was also a musician, playing guitar 
and accordion, playing at many local dances.
Jack Berglof Park
Jack Berglof and the other Warman Golf Club
executive members had strong ties to the 
original golf course. They recognized the 
advantages that a new golf course would 
bring to Warman. Jack provided consistent 
leadership through this transition period.
As a longtime volunteer and member
of Warman Golf Course, Jack was able
to bridge the gap between the old and new 
golf courses with true leadership.
Larry Erber Park
Larry Erber gave years of dedication to the 
betterment of the community. His endless 
hours of volunteerism, planning, building, 
and supporting the Warman Golf Course 
from sand greens to a grassed nine hole 
course earned Larry a lot of praise. Everyone 
involved during that time was very proud of 
the development of the golf course.
Larry Nelson Park
As part of the original group of golf course 
volunteers, Larry Nelson worked tirelessly 
to see the first golf course project complete. 
He was a shining example for his fellow 
volunteers. He always showed pride in the 
community and the amenities Warman had 
to offer back then, while nurturing ideas for 
future endeavours in the community.
Kessler Park
Dave Kessler made his mark in Warman not 
only as a successful business leader, but as 
an influential town councillor from 1976 to 
1978, and then as Mayor until 1982. During 
this time as a community leader, Dave 
operated a grocery store and established 
Kessler Agencies. He was a forward thinker, 
supported Warman’s growth and made many 
important contributions to our community.
His family continues to support local 
initiatives, bettering the lives of our residents. 
Zane Dmytryshyn Park
Zane Dmytryshyn is a long-time Warman 
resident and the 2018 Citizen of the Year. 
He has consistently looked for new ways 
to improve our community and supported 
many causes, some being the establishment 
of Warman’s first golf course, first library, in-
town school bussing and French curriculum. 
He served four terms on council and brought 
his love of the community, his dedication and 
sense of humour to the table.
